Hi there. I was very pleased to find your blog. I'm Canadian, my hubby is British and we're emigrating back to B.C. soon after seven years in the U.K. By any measurement, I firmly believe that based solely on value for money, Canada offers a much better standard of living than the U.K. I can't comment on the how it compares to the rest of Europe. We're very much looking forward to our return to the Pacific and the Rockies! I'm also looking forward to more of your wonderful blog!

What a great way to share your experience, I feel almost as if I were in your former dining room after biking over from Colomiers and sharing a bottle of St Pelegrino
Lots of memories, good times - your photos and thoughts help me feel like we can really stay connected with time and distance. As we are coming to see you (only 2 months from today!) things are becoming more and more real. In fact you might want to start telling me what I might be able to bring you all from France - more soon,
take care,
John

Sounds great. I'll have some to take away (:

We're moving too! inside France (so you don't have to be!) to Ales that's 40KM north of Nimes. And for a relative small move we have to start over again too. Only Philippe hs a job and knows what he will be doing... But it's not as exciting as Vancouver. After all we still be in France, where positive attitude is met with suspicion and resistance so it takes twice the energy to keep being positive.
I definitely want to come and visit you sooner or later, probably later... maybe combining it with some TCM training, since there's a lot of good stuff going on in your part of the world.
Last week i was looking at the last pictures i took from the kids saying goodbye, the girls and I had a good laugh as all the memories surfaced again. Maxime had me make some printouts for her own collection so she can see Kes and Ruud whenever she feels like it.

You should write more regular so I can get jealous more often, it fires up my creativity (:
thanks
Have fun!

Congratulations!!!!! You have realized our dream: moving to Vancouver! I am Maddalena (37 years old), married to Daniele (33) and mother of Matilde (2) and we are from Genova Italy!!!! In May we will submit our request for a Permanent Resident Visa in order to move to Vancouver as soon as possible... in the meantime we will look for a job for Daniele that works in the High Tech field and we will look for a house to rent!!! Moreover we will come to Vancouver next summer in order to take a deeper look to our next life!!!
We took this decision in order to try to give a better future to us and Matilde!!!
It is so wonderful to read your blog and to know that it is possible to put into life a dream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulation and thank you for sharing your experience!!!

Hello altogether, your blog is really interesting and amusing, especially the bears. When I find some time, I read through it. We had an exciting summer with a lot of projects for other jobs coming up, one of which failed just the day before we left. And so we sat there on our boxes... then we went on vacation to Germany and then to Quebec, each time for one month and during that time Benoit managed to find another job! And this time we managed to get a contract in SAN DIEGO. We are so excited!!! we will keep you posted on that. Jerome asked today why we had not gone to see Kes while we were in Canada! He ist going to school now here in Pibrac. He has a newcomer very young and very friendly teacher. Ecole Maternelle went on very well after easter break. We did not know what had happened but Francoise changed from one week to another to become a very dynamic and encouraging maitresse, so Jerome and the other kids really enjoyed going to school. Perhaps the experience with Ks made her thinking over her own role and behaviour. Who knows? Lots of hugs from us to all of you! Sylvia, Ben Yann and Jerome

Hi guys,
What a wonderful nature you're living in. I can imagine life is quite different there. I really enjoy the beautiful pictures. Though I find these bears in your backyard quite scary. I know Antoniet calls them cuttly (is that the right word?), but actually I find them really big and scary . Anyway, what do I know, cause the last deers we have in the woods around Deventer are problaby gone because of the hit and run games on the highway that runs right through them. En joy live and dont be a stranger. Hope to see you all around christmas. Thousands of kisses Lis
